Two People; Same Profile; Whose life would you choose to have?
Two friends ๐ฌ with the same professional and educational background start of their life at age 25. Both are same in all respects and have the potential to earn the same amount of money.
One goes into a job and keeps climbing up the corporate ladder; He has travelled all over the world, has had great experiences, has had the best of things to drink and the best of things to eat. He has however aged much faster, looks like 65 but is just 55. All along he was under corporate pressure, performance pressure, family pressure and pressure from everywhere else. He does not have freedom. Heโs not all that happy. Heโs been yearning to have a life of freedom all along. During 30 years of working life, he has altogether earned 1000 million and spent altogether 950 million on himself and family. Now he has a house and wealth of 50 million.
Whereas the other friend was self-employed, he was is own boss, he has his own working hours. Life was pretty good and full of freedom. No pressure from anywhere as suchโฆ Sure the usual pressure and stress involved in running a family exists. He never had the money to afford the best of things to eat and drink but he has had few occasions of having the good things of life. He has not travelled the world but has travelled to a many places in the world. He is happy and heโs okay. Heโs 55 and looks 45. During 30 years of working life, he has altogether earned 200 million and spent altogether 150 million on himself and family. Now he has a similar house and wealth of 50 million.
